Detailed Itinerary:
Day One: This morning we will depart at 7:00 a.m. from
Tucson (pick up from your hotel). We will stop in the
Phoenix /Scottsdale area to greet our passengers from the
"Valley of the Sun". Lunch (not included in tour cost) will
be in FlagStaff. We arrive at the South Rim Grand Canyon
National Park mid-afternoon. Prepare for a cooler climate at
the South Rim as the elevation is 7000 feet. Your Tour
Director will explain the many options available to you for
the afternoon. You may want to watch a spectacular sunset at
the Grand Canyon then have dinner (on own). Accommodation at
the Canyon Plaza Hotel.
Day Two: This morning take advantage of a "flight seeing
tour" either fixed wing or helicopter from the Grand Canyon
Airport. Your tour director will help facilitate your
reservation. Included this morning is the IMAX Theater's
presentation 'The Hidden Secrets of the Grand Canyon'.
Noontime finds us leaving the South Rim and traveling east
to Desert View-a replica of an Indian Watchtower is there,
as well as the viewpoint that you can see the magnificent
Colorado River as it flows from the north through the Grand
Canyon. We will have lunch (on own) at the Cameron Trading
Post on the Navajo Nation abutting the Painted Desert. We
will arrive in the greater Phoenix area at 5:30pm and in
Tucson at 8:00pm.
