How to Book
A $200 (land only): $300 (air inclusive) per person deposit is required at time of booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.

 Increase in Tour Costs
Merit Vacations reserves the right to increase tour prices in the event of an increase in fuel costs, government taxes, supplier price increases, or any other cost.

Responsibility
Merit Vacations (hereinafter referred to as Merit) is a division of Merit Travel Group Inc. We act solely as agents for the Travel Service Suppliers such as hoteliers, airlines, ground service operators, bus operators, etc. who are providing their facilities as described in this brochure. We do our best to select such suppliers but exercise no control over them and cannot be held responsible for the failure of these suppliers to carry out any obligations. Any and all bookings made with these suppliers by us, for you, are subject to the terms and conditions of each and every such supplier. Suppliers liability may also be limited by law, tariffs, or conditions set forth in their documentation, tickets, etc. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Merit and its agents are not responsible for any and all claims for losses, damages, delays, illness, injuries, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, or anxiety arising from:

a) Fault of negligence or omissions on the part of the said travel service suppliers;
b) Illness, theft, strikes, mechanical problems, quarantine, governmental invention, weather conditions, acts of hostility or violence, and any other grounds beyond our control;
c) Your failure to obtain passport, visas, inoculations or other travel documents;
d) Your failure to report on time at an airport or ground transfer facility;
e) Material damages, theft or other mysterious disappearance of your goods;
f) Personal injuries or death;
g) Force Majeure – an event(s) beyond our, or our supplier(s), reasonable control including, but not limited to, acts of God, strikes, lockout or other labour disputes or disruptions, wars, blockades, insurrections, riots, earthquakes, weather conditions, floods or acts or restraints imposed by governmental authorities.

Liability
Where travel services are purchased separately, and not as part of an inclusive package, Merit’s responsibility shall extend only to the provisions of advice as to industry-standard or supplier recommended, connection and check-in times. Provide Merit supplies such advice, it shall not be responsible for missed connections or departures, regardless of the cause. I

Insurance
Trip cancellation, medical and hospital, baggage, and various additional coverages are available and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for your vacation. By not taking insurance, you are fully liable for any and all penalties imposed as stated under Cancellation Policy on this page. Please speak to your representative at the time of making reservations about insurance.

Description
Every effort has been made to describe the travel services in this brochure as accurately as possible, but please note that there may be different living standards and conditions with respect to the provisions of utilities, services, and accommodation at your resort that you are accustomed to at home. Information and photographs contained herein were accurate at time of printing, however, we will do our best to inform you should any significant change occur.

Refunds
Travel is a perishable product, which often can not be resold. For this reason some penalties and restrictions apply with your vacation investment. YOUR RIGHT TO RECEIVE A REFUND IS LIMITED. The nature of travel involves risks and unpredictable weather and thus Merit cannot assure any departure or arrival times at any point of an itinerary.

Cancellation Policy
Policy applies to the land portion only; additional penalties will apply for the air portion. Cancellation penalties are:
(A) 60 days or more prior to departure:
Full refund, less $100 per person.
(B) 59 – 45 days prior to departure:
Loss of deposit.
(C) 44 days or less prior to departure:
100% non-refundable.

Some properties/destinations have more severe cancellation penalties and if so, these policies will be noted on the invoice and will prevail. Should Merit be required to cancel these arrangements, a full refund will be made to the traveller. Changes in these reservations may not be possible. However, should you request a change to these arrangements and if we are able to accommodate your request, a $50 administrative fee will be charged to you. Request to re-issue invoices will result in a $25 administrative fee. The nature of travel involves risks and unpredictable weather and thus Merit cannot assure conditions. Merit cannot issue refunds or rain checks for any unused holiday services or portion thereof.

Consent
Your retention of tickets, reservations or bookings after issuance shall constitute your consent to the above terms and an agreement on your part to convey the contents of this Booking Notice to your travel companions or group members
